REST API version v1 is approaching end-of-life and support for version v1 will eventually be removed.
Latest REST API version v2 is backward compatible and migrating to the latest version is as easy as changing the version number in URIs. Please see example below:

Customers who have traffic restricted to our old IP address will be required to white-list the new IP address as well.
Please be mindful that the old IP address will be unavailable and customers may experience service disruptions once we move to the new IP address.We will further advise prior to the new scheduled date.

Customers who are sending SMS via our MXT platform or email to SMS will not be required to make these changes. If you are unsure whether or not the changes apply to you, please contact our support team for guidance. If you are using a third party software to send your SMS, we would suggest forwarding the e-mail you received from SMSGlobal to your software provider for them to action on their end. Please feel free to request the software provider to reach out to SMSGlobal Support for further guidance if needed.
Yes. The new URLs are already provisioned and are ready to use. We strongly recommended that the changes are made as soon as possible.
No, the old URLs and IP addresses will not be available post 1st of March.
Customers who are not connected to our new URLs / IP addresses may experience service disruptions until the changes are completed.
If you are currently using the IP address of the URL for your integration and would like to retain using the IP address, you would be required to make the change on the day of the cut-over - 1st of March.
Some customers who require an updated SSL certificate can download the new certificate for https://api.smsglobal.com via a web browser such as Firefox or requesting it through our Support team. The new certificate for https://api.smsglobal.com will be different to the old URL – https://www.smsglobal.com/
Yes, the parameters for both the old URL and new URL will remain the same. The only change that would be required is the URL itself.
The body and header will remain the same, along with the API keys. The differences in v1 and v2 will only be the response itself that is received. V1 does not return a response whilst V2 will.
