# Master API Keys

## How to view and generate new Master API Keys in MXT

Your Master API Key is used for accessing SMSGlobal via our HTTP API, SOAP API, as well as SMPP.

For REST API, please see [how to generate a new REST API key and secret](https://hs.smsglobal.com/rest-api-keys-smsglobal-help-center?hsLang=en-au).

To find your Master API Keys (username and password):

**1.** Select ***'API & Integrations'*** on the left-hand side of the MXT menu, then click on ***'API Keys'***.

**2.** By default, all accounts will already display a Master API Key.

If you need to generate a new API Key password, click on ***‘Generate New Password’*** to update your Master API Key password.
